How to make your postponed wedding reception even more special.

Did you envision your wedding day getting ready with friends, maybe doing a first look and having all that emotion and excitement build up to the ceremony?

Some of my couples are now having intimate ceremonies or eloping and then having a reception later, and are sad they will miss these special moments of their day.

I say, who says you have to miss it?

Here are some ideas to make your day even more special:

• Plan to have your bridal party get ready with you on the day of your reception.

• Do a first look with the bridal party seeing you all dressed up!

• Write letters to your love before your wedding day and wait to read them to each other on the day of reception. (Sort of a twist on first look)

• Play a video of the ceremony at the reception.
  

Think outside the box.

There are so many ways to incorporate the things you envisioned and to have the dream photos you wanted!
